These clips are for use with a 5/16″ hole, common on most air cooled models.Some late model Type 2s (Buses, Single/Double cabs, Westfalia or camper models) have a 1/4″ hole.These clips will not work fit the 1/4″ hole. The hole has to be drilled out to 5/16″.
