EMPI’s Steel Billet Balanced Heavy Weight 3.5 pound VW Crank Pulley. The silver zinc plated pulley has timing marks printed around the edge. The crankshaft pulley fits 1200cc (40 Horsepower) to 1600cc Type 1 and 2 engines. The outer diameter of this pulley is roughly 6 3/4″/171mm. Coupled with a standard upper pulley with an outer diameter of 4.25″/108mm the pulley ratio would be approximately 1 to 1.58, meaning the fan will turn 1.58 times every time the cranks makes one full revolution which is less than the factory ratio of 1.69.
